Painted in 2006 at 28 by 42 inches. Though one of the larger figures I've painted (and the piece beneifits for the size, in that the modeling of form and texture were easier to accomplish than in my typically smaller paintings) Jane is still rendered rather less than life-sized. Jane was actually a somewhat reluctant model for this portrait, only agreeing to do so as a kindness to her husband who wanted to commission the piece. I'm grateful to the both of them for the opportunity!
